Searching for a

 better-than-

takeout Indian-inspired dish?

 Enter: Tandoori Chicken

. This flavorful meal

 consists of juicy, tender

 chicken loaded with

 warming, savory spices

 sure to satisfy any

 weeknight craving.

The classic Indian dish is traditionally cooked in a cylindrical clay oven called a tandoor, which gives the chicken a delicious smoky flavor. No tandoor? No problem! This delicious dish can be made at home in an instant pot, a broiler or in our favorite: the air fryer. The fryer keeps the chicken juicy and tender while giving a crisp, golden-brown exterior, all in under 30 minutes!

There are a few secrets to giving the chicken its signature texture and flavor: the type of chicken used and the marinade. Bone-in dark meat chicken, like legs or thighs, stay juicy during cooking while chicken breasts will dry out more quickly.

FAQ

How would you store extra chicken drumsticks?

The most effective way to store extra drumsticks is in a sealed shut compartment in the fridge. They will remain new as long as 3 days. Warm the drumsticks in your air fryer at 350 degrees for no longer than 4 minutes.

Might you at any point utilize chicken wings rather than drumsticks?

Indeed, you can make chicken wings in the air fryer with this recipe. You could need to change the cooking time since chicken wings are more modest and will cook quicker. Keep an eye on them after around 10 minutes.

What temperature do I cook chicken legs to?

The protected cooking temperature for chicken legs is 165°F. Really take a look at the temperature with a computerized thermometer in the thickest piece of the drumstick.

How would I get the scorched blemishes on the drumsticks?

To get the singed marks, simply save the chicken in the air fryer for an extra 1-2 minutes. Make a point not to overcook them
Chicken should be taken out of the marinade, sprinkled with 1/2 teaspoon salt, and placed skin-side up in a basket.
